A Word With Ipswich

We’ve asked Vital Ipswich editor ‘DMUBlue’ his thoughts on the match ahead

You’re sitting in 24th position – I’m sure no-one expected that…what’s happened?

Well… we haven`t played that badly, we really competed against Palace, and Wolves and were unlucky. I think we are in a bit of a false position.

You’ve appointed Jim Magilton as your manager – Is he the right man to take the team forward?

Time will tell about Magilton, he certainly talks a very good game, and he has promised attractive football from young hungry players, so that is all encouraging. He needs time, but I think he can be a success.

Mark Noble has just joined you on loan – who else have the club signed this summer?

We have signed Dan Harding and Alex Bruce on permanent contracts. Both very good players, especially Bruce has made a good start, very combative, and sharp in the tackle. Harding is solid, and should add stability. We have signed Simon Walton and Mark Noble on loan this week, and they should debut tomorrow, looking forward to it.

Who is the danger man that we will have to look out for on Saturday?

Nicky Forster is always a danger, lethal finisher, and Darren Currie is very creative. I like him but he gets allot of stick. Gavin Williams is important too.

If you had to take a Hull City player to Ipswich Town, who would it be?

Stuart Elliott has scored a lot of goals for you, but has he made it at this level? I also like Sam Ricketts, he looked very useful at Swansea.

Who would you want to offload if you had the chance?

We don`t really have a big enough squad to lose players, but the money that we should get for Sam Parkin will be very useful, although I would really like to see him succeed at the club.

What will the score be on Saturday?

2-0 home win

Thanks to DMUBlue for his thoughts on the match
