It was being reported yesterday that Aberdeen had rejected an approach by Hull City for defender Scott McKenna.
The 21 year old signed a new deal at Pittodie back in October and that deal sees him contracted up until 2021. He has made 16 appearances for the side so far this season but Nigel Adkins confirmed our interest in him following the scoreless draw with Reading on Saturday.
Aberdeen later confirmed to BBC Scotland that although an official offer had been made, that had been instantly rejected.
With no speculation as to what the offer from Hull was in financial terms, we’ll have to wait and see if we go back with an improved offer to tempt their hand.
