Adam Pearson described his departure from Hull City as “extremely surprising and disappointing.

A key figure at Hull City over the past ten seasons (albeit with a brief spell at Derby County,) Pearson saw his contract terminated by the club`s owners without warning or compensation on Monday as part of a process which also saw Nick Barmby suspended as manager.

A statement released by Adam Pearson to the Yorkshire Post yesterday reads;

“I wish to register my extreme surprise and disappointment at the sudden and in my view totally unjustified termination of my agreement. I had very much been looking forward to assisting in the development of a successful Hull City squad this summer.

“I have enjoyed my association with the Club and wish them success in the future. This matter is now in the hands of my lawyers and I will be making no further comment until it is resolved to my satisfaction.”

Having seen his consultancy role at the KC terminated, Adam Pearson is now seeking legal advice following the termination of his contract, bringing a disappointing end to a successful time at the KC Stadium.
