Following yesterday’s speculation about Hull City being in advanced talks with Nigel Adkins, earlier this morning his appointment was confirmed by the club.
A Championship title winner whilst with Southampton, who he led to double promotions from League One into the Premier League, Adkins also has promotion success with Scunthorpe United under his belt along with spells at Reading and Sheffield United.
The 52 year old will take charge of training this morning and he will be in charge for the game at the weekend against Brentford.
Presumably he’ll be meeting with the media following the training session and we’ll here more from him as the day progresses.
