Jarrod Bowen yesterday signed a new and improved deal with Hull City.

Bowen is currently our joint leading goalscorer in the Championship, as he’s found the net six times so far in 2017/18 and the 20 year old has put pen to paper on a deal seeing him through until 2020. The deal includes a further 12 month option as well.

Having picked up the Young Player of the Month Award for August given his start to life under Leonid Slutsky, Bowen told the Official Site after signing his new deal.

‘It has been three years since I first arrived here and it has been a fantastic journey so far. The last couple of months have been brilliant for me personally, but I know that I have to continue to improve my game and I am looking forward to doing that here.’

Having come in from non league side Hereford United back in 2014, Bowen started making a name for himself in our Academy set up before he made his first team debut in the EFL Cup tie against Exeter City back in the 2016/17 campaign.

A first Premier League appearance followed in October and that year he took in nine senior appearances. This season he is a regular in the line up and Slutsky was delighted to see him sign up for longer.

‘Jarrod has been a very important player for us so far this season, and he is also a player with the potential to improve even further. He is a player that has stood out since I arrived here during the summer and I am delighted that he has agreed a new deal with us.’
