Hull City are rumoured to be close to agreeing the £2 million transfer of Ahmed Elmohamady but City will need to fend off interest from other Premier League teams.

The Egyptian, who was the winner of City`s player of the season award, is supposedly being courted by two unnamed Premier League sides with City so far having struggled to match the player`s personal terms.

The presence of other bidders leaves the Egyptian with the bargaining power, but Bruce is keen to add the player ahead of the new Premier League season despite the player having one year remaining on his contract at the Stadium of Light.

In 40 league and cup appearances for City last season, Elmohamady became a vital component of City`s 3-5-2 formation and scored four goals during his time at the KC.

I can’t see Elmo going anywhere else – Bruce will sort personal terms. I’d expect we see more of him in midfield next season than as an RB or wing-back.
