Collins Delighted At Hull City Move

Sam Collins is delighted with his move from Port Vale and says he is returning to his Yorkshire roots.

The 28 year old defender was born in Pontefract and still lives there. He said ‘In a football sense, coming to Hull is a brilliant move for me and geographically it’s great because Hull is obviously a lot closer to Pontefract than Port Vale. It’s straight down the M62 motorway, so I’m delighted because it makes life a lot easier for me and my family. And as a Yorkshireman through and through, it’s great to be back on the right side of the Pennines!’

There you are, a geography lesson AND football news all in one! Can’t be bad! Collins is on loan at the moment with a view to a permanent £65 000 deal being completed in the January transfer window.
