Hull City have today confirmed the signing of Ahmed Elmohamady from Sunderland.

The 25 year old spent the 2012/13 season on loan at the KC Stadium from Sunderland and the club acted to make his move permanent in a £2 million deal after the Egyptian international impressed in last season`s promotion winning team.

Elmohamady was eventually named the player of the season after making 40 league appearances last season, scoring four goals.

The deal had taken longer than expected due to international commitments with Egypt but Elmohamady was eager to commit to a three year contract with the club, despite interest from other sides.

The arrival of Elmohamady follows 24 hours after Liam Rosenior signed a new two year contract with the club.
