It’s being reported today that Hull City are considering Preston North End’s Simon Grayson and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Paul Lambert.

The Daily Mail report that Grayson has emerged for his work down at Deepdale following the departure of Marco Silva to Watford.

On a strict budget at Preston, Grayson has taken them close to Play Off entry in the last couple of season and he boasts good Championship experience now with an eye for a bargain having spent amongst the lowest as they more than compete with the so called bigger boys.

The 47 year old has an eye for talent and across his career managing Blackpool, Leeds United and Huddersfield, he has a good win percentage in matches and took Preston from League One back in the 2014/15 season.

As for Lambert, well he was Wolves’ manager until a very short time ago earlier today and the Hull Daily Mail report that following his long expected departure, he could well be a man in the frame as he led Wolves to safety in his seven months at the club.

Lambert goes in as a firm favourite amongst the bookies, but it must be said that Nigel Adkins remains the favourite with David Moyes closely following. Lambert went in as third favourite at 6/1 with SkyBet.

Linking back to Grayson, he sits as 8/1.
