Hull City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected following the clash with Nottingham Forest.

The performance by Michael Hector in the two nil victory over Nottingham Forest at the weekend at The City Ground was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Hector was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Hector and Hull produced a defensive masterclass, and the central defender showed he can play too, beginning the move which set up the second goal of the afternoon.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Hector for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Luke McGee (Portsmouth), Charlie Clough (Barnet), Michael Hector (Hull City), Matt Preston (Swindon Town), Adama Traore (Middlesbrough), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), John-Hoe O’Toole (Northampton Town), Jordan Clark (Accrington Stanley), Mohamed Eisa (Cheltenham Town), Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Simon Cox (Southend United).

Manager – Derek Adams (Plymouth Argyle).
