Hull have confirmed the loan signing of Chelsea’s Ola Aina.

The 20 year old, who has made Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup appearances for Chelsea, will spend the upcoming campaign at the KCOM Stadium, arriving on a season-long deal.

Aina said he was excited and looking forward to his first loan spell away from Stamford Bridge and hopes to make a good impression at City.

He told the Official Website: ‘I’m very excited to be here and it is the start of a new chapter in my career. It’s my first loan move away from Chelsea and I just want to hit the ground running. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of my new team-mates during the training camp in Portugal.’

The full back, an England player at various levels through to U20 level, recently switched to Nigeria with it hoped this spell at the KCOM can help Aina secure a place in their World Cup squad next summer.

Aina, as expected, becomes the first arrival from Chelsea, indeed new boss Leonid Slutsky’s first addition. He will now link up with the squad in Portugal.

But will Aina the first and last arrival from Chelsea? A friendship between Slutsky and the owner of the Premier League champions, Roman Abramovich, could yet result in others arriving from Stamford Bridge.
