Hull City`s reward for overcoming Leyton Orient in an FA Cup 3rd round replay will be a home tie against Championship strugglers Barnsley.

Steve Bruce`s side must first overcome League 1 Orient at Brisbane Road next week if they are to meet Barnsley in Round 4, who overcame Burnley yesterday. City are fortunate to remain in the FA Cup after a pathetic showing at the KC Stadium with a team comprising nine changes toiling against their lower league opponents and undeservedly scoring a 92nd minute equaliser through Nick Proschwitz.

Orient had earlier looked like sealing their place in round 4 when Mooney headed in at the near post with eleven minutes left, a thoroughly deserved goal given the League 1 side`s performance.

Steve Bruce was scathing in his post-match comments, in particular towards an over-weight Cameron Stewart who appears to have no future at the KC Stadium after a disastrous loan spell at Burnley. Bruce could only reserve praise for two or three of his players, with Paul McShane, Jay Simpson and Eldin Jakupovic the only player`s to show a desire to do well.

With City`s match against Derby County on 26 January already postponed due to Derby`s participation in Round 4, City should look to progress past Leyton Orient in the replay and set up a potential fifth round tie in the FA Cup.
