Hull City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Kamil Grosicki in the six one victory over Birmingham City at the weekend at the KCOM Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Grosicki was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Any number of Hull players could have made this line-up, but we`ve opted for the man voted Man of the Match by the club`s fans on social media. Grosicki was the pick of the bunch in the Tigers` 6-1 rout of Birmingham City, scoring one, creating another, and delivering an all-round stellar display.’

The overall performance also saw head coach Leonid Slutsky named as manager of the Team of the Week.

‘After overseeing such an emphatic home win, and with only one player in our starting line-up, Slutsky also takes the honour of Manager of the Week. Following a dip in form, the Russian saw his Hull side score six goals, with six different scorers, in the 6-1 win over Birmingham.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to both for their recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
