Hull Secure Win In First Ever PL Game!

Hull City secured their first ever Premier League victory at the first time of asking thanks to a 2-1 victory over Fulham.

Despite Fulham taking the lead after eight minutes through Seol, Hull City, who were roared on by 24,000 fans equalised through Geovanni before Caleb Folan scored the winner ten minutes from full-time.

Geovanni has now entered Hull folklore as the man to score Hull’s first ever Premier League goal, and his thirty yard curling striker was one certainly fitting of that accolade.

The second half was dominated by the Tigers but it was not until the 81st minute until a mistake from Paul Knochesky allowed Craig Fagan to square the ball to Caleb Folan who side footed into the empty net to continue his super-sub status that he earned last season.

Whilst Fulham under-performed, Hull City thrived on the atmosphere of their first ever Premier League match and with a strong work ethic, helped pull of a stunning opening day result.

It was imperative for Hull City to make a good start, and Phil Brown will now look to continue that at Ewood Park against Blackburn Rovers – tickets are on sale now and details are on the OWS.
