Improved Bid For Cardiff’s Zohore

Admittedly I wasn’t even aware of a bid being made for Kenneth Zohore but Sky Sports reports an ‘improved’ offer has been made.

Danish U21 international Zohore, who only signed a new contract at Cardiff in April, tying him to the Welsh club until 2020, has been subjected to interest from Hull as Leonid Slutsky looks to bring in new players.

Neil Warnock isn’t keen on losing the forward but knows you can ‘never say never’ when it comes to football. However, if he’s seriously looking at £20m the Cardiff boss has no chance.

He said: ‘If I’m to have any chance next season, he won’t be going anywhere. You can never say never – if someone came in with £20m you can’t say no, I’d even sell Sol Bamba for that who has been just as important.’

Zohore will have his price but the problem Hull could be faced with, all clubs know this, is the £17m received from Leicester for Harry Maguire.

That and the fact Premier League parachute payments are also collected by Hull – this will see prices City are asked to pay pushed up.
