A short time ago this afternoon, Hull City announced the signing of former Sunderland and Birmingham midfielder Sebastian Larsson.

The 32 year old experienced midfielder was linked with us earlier in the week and we seemed the standout interest for the Swedish international who was said to want to continue in England rather than moving abroad, and he has now signed a 12 month deal at the KCOM Stadium and has trained with his new colleagues for the first time today.

He comes in with over 500 career appearances in the game and 90 international caps having first began his career with Arsenal and in a brief statement to theOfficial Site as his signing was announced, the player explained.

‘I`m delighted to be here and I am really looking forward to this fresh challenge. I had some options to consider, but I felt this was the best move for me to make and I can`t wait to get started now.’

He joins as a free agent following his release by Sunderland at the end of last campaign.
