Livermore Fee Agreed

Hull City have today confirmed that a fee has been agreed with Tottenham Hotspur for the transfer of Jake Livermore.

The club haven’t released the size of the fee, but it’s reported that it’s in the region of £6million.

Having completed the first hurdle and struck an agreement with Spurs, the club will now enter negotiations with the player and his representatives over the coming week to hammer down personal terms.

Hull are hopeful this can be done ready for an announcement early next week.

The 24 year old was impressive last season whilst on loan with us, and whilst it was reported that Crystal Palace were also in the hunt, having already been with us, making 41 appearances for us last season, scoring three times, and being able to team up with Tom Huddlestone again seems to have swung things in our favour.

In other news, target Joleon Lescott has brought an end to rumours suggesting he was going to sign for us, by penning a two year deal with West Bromwich Albion yesterday evening.

With Lescott now out of the picture, it’s being said we are looking to the European market for our next target, and that could be Espanyol defender Hector Moreno. The Sun say that we are preparing a £6.2million bid for the 26 year old, who has over 50 caps for Mexico and played in their recent game against Brazil at the World Cup.

There are also new defensive links to Southampton Jose Fonte.

The Mirror say we are on the verge of pushing through the £6.5million transfer of Norwich’s Robert Snodgrass.
