Manchester United’s Keane Makes It A Hat-Trick!

Signings have proven to be like buses for Hull, today alone, as we’ve waited all summer for them and then THREE come along at once.

Will Keane, following the earlier arrivals to the KCOM Stadium of David Marshall from Cardiff and Ryan Mason from Tottenham, has been confirmed as a Hull player. He’s signed from Manchester United, where he worked with Mike Phelan, for an undisclosed amount.

This, which was reported as £1m on Monday, could represent something of a bargain if Phelan can unlock the potential the 23-year-old has.

After signing his deal he told the official website.

‘I’m delighted to move here. It’s a fresh start and a new challenge for me, so I’m really looking forward to getting things underway.’

Keane, who has had loan spells with clubs such as Wigan, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and last season Preston, was given his Man United debut by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011 when Phelan was his assistant.

But he failed to convince Fergie, David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and now Jose Mourinho of his ability to be a first-team regular at Old Trafford where he made just three appearances.
