MK Dons 0-2 Hull City – Still tight at the top

A workmanlike performance by Hull City ensured they stay in second place and also moved two points closer to Brighton. It’s good job they did win though because the following pack are still snapping at our heels.

City reverted to the side that beat Birmingham last week after the heroics against Leicester.

Steve Bruce obviously knows what he is doing after Elmo scored in the first half. He should have had another before half time but fluffed his shot. For once Hernandez did not score but City held the upper hand in the first half.

Listening to the second half commentary I was reminded of the games against QPR and Blackburn when we threw two points away. Fortunately MK Dons do not have a Rhodes or an Austin and a piece of class play in injury time when the two substitutes combined created a second goal. A flick on by Maloney was taken on by Diame who made the game safe.

Great result and three vital points.
