Hull City`s development squad have been named as opponents of Harrogate Town for their forthcoming pre-season preparations.

The development team will face Harrogate Town on Saturday 3 August at the CNG Stadium, kicking off at 3pm.

Meanwhile, Egyptian side Al-Ahly have made a move to set up a much talked about friendly with Hull City. Initial rumours have suggested that the match could take place in London during early June, although that would seem unlikely given City`s players being away from the club before pre-season commences in July.

The friendly has been intended to raise funds for the Port Said disaster where seventy people lost their lives and hundreds were injured following violence at a match between Al-Ahly and Al-Masry.

Hull City have become close to Al-Ahly due to the connections of the Allam family, which also saw Gedo and Ahmed Fathi loaned to the club in the second half of last season with Gedo particularly impressing at the KC Stadium, scoring 5 goals in 12 appearances.
