Hull City travel to Bolton Wanderers today knowing that a fourth consecutive win will close the gap to league leaders Cardiff to just two points.

Following a week which saw City place promotion in their own hands following victories over Derby County, Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers, Steve Bruce knows the importance of momentum with another victory at struggling Bolton.

Bruce will once again be without defenders Paul McShane and Abdoulaye Faye but has been bosted by the arrival of George Boyd on loan from Peterborough, the attacking midfielder to go straight into the eighteen man squad this afternoon.

For Bolton, Stuart Holden and Memo Kamara are both facing late fitness checks. Mikel Alonso will return after serving a one game suspension. Former Tigers will feature as Sam Ricketts will start but Keith Andrews is sidelined with a thigh injury.

Earlier in the season, City emerged 3-1 winners over Bolton as goals from Aluko, Faye and Quinn saw City overturn an early opener from Eagles.

Vital Hull Prediction: Bolton 0 – 2 Hull City

I don’t think your lads turned up for the first 20mins yesterday by which time it was all over. Good luck for the rest of the season though, I think you will do well, it just wasn’t your day.
