City return to the KC this afternoon, looking to put the disappointment of a 4-1 defeat at Bolton Wanderers in their last outing behind them immediately.

City have no injury concerns and are boosted by the returns of Abdoulaye Faye and Paul McShane from injury. Both will be in contention to start following the poor defensive showing last week which saw the game lost in the first eight minutes.

In attack, George Boyd could start in place of Robert Koren as he prepares for his home debut after joining on loan from Peterborough United and making a promising debut at Bolton as a second half substitute.

Birmingham and former Hull striker Marlon King will not play due to a knee injury. Mitch Hancocx is also a doubt but Birmingham are boosted by the arrival on loan of Shane Ferguson.

Earlier in the season, Hull City won 3-2 in Birmingham. After racing into a 3 goal lead in the first half after an Aluko double and Chester header, Birmingham staged a comeback through goals from Morrison and King, but City held on for three points.
