Hull City need a win against West Bromwich Albion today to maintain a gap between themselves and the bottom three and with this one of only three home games remaining, to ensure they achieve their aim of Premier League survival.

City have failed to win in their last five league matches at the KC since beating Fulham 6-0 and have a poor recent record against today`s opponents in Hull who arrive buoyed by a 2-1 win over Swansea City in their last outing.

City will be without George Boyd who serves the first of a three game suspension for spitting at Joe Hart. Although not a regular in recent weeks, Boyd was set to start today and therefore Bruce has had to shuffle his squad. Stephen Quinn is likely to replace the midfielder in the eighteen man squad.

West Brom are without Jonas Olsson who begins the first of a two game suspension after collecting ten yellow cards whilst Chris Brunt, Diego Lugano, Billy Jones, Claudio Yacob and Morgan Amalfitano all remain sidelined.

The game will be noticeable for each side fielding players against their former clubs; Boaz Myhill for the visitors and Curtis Davies, Robert Koren and Shane Long for City.

Earlier in the season, the reverse fixture between the two sides finished 1-1. Jake Livermore opened the scoring towards the end of the first half but Matej Vydra equalised with minutes to spare.
