Hull City will look to build on back to back victories as they travel to the Riverside, a ground which has never yielded three points for The Tigers, to take on Middlesbrough.

Both sides go into the game courtesy of narrow weekend victories – City left it late to overcome Ipswich thanks to Nick Proschwitz`s double while Middlesbrough were 1-0 winners at Brighton.

Steve Bruce, a former Sunderland manager, will head to Middlesbrough with the option of calling upon son Alex. However, Paul McShane is set to continue in defence, although his defensive partner could be either of Abdoulaye Faye or fit again James Chester. Up-front, weekend hero Nick Proschwitz could start ahead of Jay Simpson.

Middlesbrough are without Kevin Thomson and Justin Hoyte. Luke Williams may not be risked while Tony Mowbray has a decision to make over experienced centre-back Jonathan Woodgate.

Both teams are level on points heading into the fixture, with City sixth and their north east opponents seventh. Last season, the Tigers lost 1-0 after a late Barry Robson strike earned the home side maximum points.
