Transfer Window: Leicester target Chester

Sky Sports News reports that former Hull City manager Nigel Pearson has again targeted one of his former players.

Having seen bids for Cameron Stewart rejected earlier this month and having been told that no players would be sold to Leicester, it is surprising to see Pearson return with another offer, this time targeting centre-back James Chester.

A bid in the region of £2 million is believed to have been registered for a player which Nigel Pearson acquired from Manchester United for £300,000.

Today’s rumour is likely to be in an attempt to unsettle the young defender, with City’s owners likely to reject the approach.
