Graham Alexander will be making the journey to Hull this weekend, however, this part of the country is not all too unfamiliar to the Coventry born defender, who started his career at Scunthorpe United as a trainee 16 years ago.

The 34 year old spent 5 years at Glanford Park, making over 150 league appearances, and scoring 18 goals along the way. After his success at Scunthorpe, the Scottish International signed for Luton in July 1995.

Signing for a fee of £100,000, Alexander spent 4 years at Kenilworth Road before finally joining Preston North End in March 1999 for £50,000.

Alexander’s time with The Lilywhites has been a huge success, and the defender?s outstanding ability was rewarded by earning a contract extension and his place in the PFA?s Championship team of the season in 2005.
