This weeks featured Hull City player is striker Craig Fagan.

Biography

Craig Fagan joined the Tigers from Colchester United during the 2004/05 season. Due to play against the Tigers for Colchester on the 26th February, Fagan was withdrawn in the morning, with it being announced he was joining the Tigers for a six figure sum.

An aggressive and fully committed player, Craig knocked in 14 goals for Colchester before his move to the Tigers. Previously, he had joined Colchester on a season long loan deal from Midlands club Birmingham City, but after impressive displays, Colchester made his deal a permanent transaction on transfer deadline day 2005.

Born in Birmingham, Craig made four appearences for his hometown club including a Premiership game against Southampton. He was a prolific scorer in the reserves and was a team-mate of current City player Curtis Woodhouse.

He was also loaned out to Bristol City in order to gain some first team experience.

Craig was a revelation at Layer road, with the manager at the time, Phil Parkinson describing the striker as ‘a special talent. He has pace and athleticism and he has the ability to play at the highest level.’

Craig made an immediate impact upon his Tigers debut. Coming on as a substitute with the score at 2-1 in the Tigers crucial game against 3rd place Tranmere Rovers, Craig took just seven minutes to score the goal which sent the Tigers on towards victory. He soon became a key figure and is currently forging a promising partnership with Billy Paynter, one which we hope will continue to blossom over the next few games.
