The Premier League season continued with the latest round of matches played over the weekend.
A three-way tie at the top remains in place with Manchester City ahead of both Arsenal and Liverpool, with all three scoring four-goals in wins, on goal-difference. Hull, Swansea and Sunderland stay in relegation.

Struggling Sunderland hit back against Arsenal for a while but in the end a rampant Gunners side brushed aside the Black Cats with a four-one win that took them top of the league for a few hours – and kept Sunderland bottom with a worst start to a Premier League season at this stage.
Manchester City’s six-match winless run, in all competitions, ended with a four-nil win at West Brom with Tony Pulis’ new deal hardly celebrated the way he would have wanted! That took Man City back to the top of goal-difference.
The late kick-off on Saturday, which was full of first half goals, saw Liverpool stake a claim of the lead with a four-two win at Crystal Palace with Alan Pardew’s side perhaps a little unlucky not to have got something, well at least a penalty….
Burnley, thanks to brilliant defender and a masterclass from captain Tom Heaton with the Clarets ‘keeper making a number of saves to justify his place in the England squad that frustrated a former club Manchester United, saw a point taken at Old Trafford from a nil-nil draw.
Middlesbrough are likely to battle against relegation this season, a two-nil win over Bournemouth at the Riverside Stadium would have helped whereas Hull were beaten late on at Watford with the Hornets’ late goal giving them a one-nil win at Vicarage Road.
After previously struggling away from the King Power Stadium, and hardly firing on all cylinders at home, Leicester looked more like the side they were last season but the Foxes did ride their luck a little in a one-all draw at White Hart Lane against Tottenham.
Everton’s two-nil win against Everton at Goodison Park against West Ham not only kept the Toffees up with the European position pacesetters it also ended a decent run of form the Hammers had been on.
The tightest title race, at this stage of the season, in years saw Chelsea keep pace with the three-way leaders with a two-nil win at Southampton taking them up to fourth and just a few points off the top three.
