In his midweek interview with the Hull Daily Mail, City manager Phil Brown stressed the need for a result against Norwich.

Sam Ricketts will be unavailable due to suspension, after picking up 2 yellow cards at Coventry. Either Nathan Doyle or Andy Dawson will deputise. There is still a doubt over Bryan Hughes and his back injury, with much improved Dean Marney set to continue in the midfield role if Hughes doesn’t satisfy the physio over his fitness. Bridges could start up front, but its more likely the Barmby will start and who knows who will start in goal??

Norwich City Team News:

Everyone’s pain, Darren Huckerby, came through 50 minutes in the Norwich reserves this week, but is unlikely to be risked, more likely a spot on the bench is as much as he can hope for.

Norwich manager Peter Grant will not be able to call upon midfielders Mark Fotheringham and Jimmy Smith, both having ankle ligament injuries, and two more are doubtful, Simon Lappin (thigh strain)and Julien Brellier. Teenager Chris Martin might slot into the vacancy in the centre.

Norwich are also hoping to complete the deal that would bring Scotish international Ian Murray to the club, in time for the game.

Player to watch: Jamie Cureton

Miller has been in charge of two matches this season, showing five yellow cards during the matches between Sheffield United and Chesterfield and Carlisle vs Oldham.

Last season, Miller was in charge of forty games, showing 108 yellow cards and 10 red cards during the season. One of those games involved Hull City when they took on Colchester United at the KC Stadium in April.

That match saw Miller issue three yellow cards in a game that passed with little incident. However, that has not always been the case when Miller has been in charge.
