Hull v Burnley – Team News

Hull don’t have a good record against Burnley so I’m not sure if it’s a good or bad time for us to be playing them, as we are on Saturday.

A ‘must win’ game for both sides at the KC Stadium will see Burnley relegated if we beat them, whereas if they beat us they’ll get back into the survival battle and leave us right in it!

Hull Team News:

Mohamed Diame (knee) isn’t going to play again this season, with the two-matches that he’s played since September the last two he’ll play this season, with an operation planned on Tuesday.

Nikica Jelavic is back and in contention following his return to fitness so Steve Bruce has to decide if now’s the right time to bring him back in.

Jake Livermore (ankle) will need to pass a fitness test to play a part.

Player to watch: Nikica Jelavic

Burnley Team News:

Michael Duff’s has his red card against West Ham rescinded so he can play but Sam Vokes (hip and thigh) is doubtful.

Kevin Long and Dean Marney (both knee) have been out long-term and will miss this one too.

Player to watch: Danny Ings

Match Facts & Stats

Burnley beat us one-nil at Turf Moor back in November, if they could complete the double over us then they’ll have renewed hope of staying up and leave us anxious with games against Spurs and Man United to finish with.

If we’re going to stay up we’ll have to win, at least once, in the month of May which is something we’ve never managed previously having lost seven and drawn three of our previous 10-matches.

Match Prediction:

One-nil is a familiar scoreline with the case in five of the previous six-matches played, how we need that to be the case in our favour on Saturday! But will it happen?

Next Fixture:

Next up, after this game, are Spurs at White Hart Lane next Saturday.
