Pearson will be forced into fielding a much changed side from that which lost to Blackpool on the opening day of the season as the City manager looks to progress into round 2.

Macclesfield`s season also started with a defeat as they lost 1-0 to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Match Facts & Stats

The Tigers will expect to progress into League Cup round 2 against League 2 opposition but should be wary against a side that have traditionally done well in Hull.

Unbeaten in Hull when meeting The Tigers in the league, Macclesfield have the ability to pose a threat but City will look to use their experience to progress within the 90 minutes.
