What has happened to the players released by Taylor who helped us gain back to back promotions.Here is a rundown of some of their careers since leaving the tigers….
We all know about the current city squad, but how are the players released by Talor doing at their respective clubs.
Here’s a quick rundown on some of them
Richard Hinds
Richard left the club in June 2005 for our local rivals Scunthorpe Utd, after spending part of the previous season on loan to them.
He has become a key player in the Scunthorpe squad this season, where his versatility has been used to good effect.

Ryan Williams
Ryan left City in October 2003 for Bristol Rovers,where he made 20 appearances for the first team scoring 1 goal (We dont need reminding do we !!).
The following season he found first team chances hard to come by and was eventually loaned out to Conference side Forest Green in December 2004
After making 6 appearances for the non leaguers he returned to the memorial ground where he made 16 further appearances for the first team scoring 3 goals in the process.
This season he has once again struggled to hold down a first team place and was shipped out on loan to the conference again, this time with Aldershot.
He has since returned to the memorial ground where he will be hoping to break into the first team.

Andy Holt
The much underated Andy Holt left City in July 2004 for fresh pastures when he joined Wrexham.
Since moving to North Wales Andy has become a firm favorite with the Wrexham Faithfull.
In his first season at The Racecourse ground he made 53 appearances in all competitions and scored his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw at home to Port Vale. He went on to score another 6 goals during the season.
This current campaign has seen Andy turn out for the Reds 16 times scoring 2 goals in the process.

Michael Keane
Fans Favourite Michael Keane was shipped out on loan to Rotherham United during the tale end of the 2004/2005 season (due allegedly to an internal fall out with Peter Taylor)
After just 3 appearances on loan to the Millers he joined them on a free transfer in March 2004, making his debut as a fully fledged Rotherham player in a 2-1 defeat away at Stoke. A further 6 first team appearances followed .
This season he has become an integral part of the millers midfield, turning out for them on 19 occasions (It would have been more but for a red card picked up in their 4-3 FA cup 1st round defeat to Mansfield)

Jonathan Walters
John Walters was released on a free transfer at the start of the current season and teamed up with ex tiger Andy Holt at Wrexham.
So far this term he has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Wrexham scoring 5 goals in the process, his first Wrexham goal coming in a 2-0 win against Cheltenham.
John will be hoping he can continue scoring goals and remain the clubs first choice striker.

Justin Whittle
Club Captain Justin Whittle was released by the Tigers on a free transfer and made the short trip over the bridge to southbank rivals Grimsby Town in June 2004.
He was an instant hit with the Grimsby fans due to his no nonsence style of play.He made his Grimsby debut in a 1-0 defeat by Darlington in August 2004, he went on to make a further 42 appearances for the Mariners, scoring his one and only goal for the club in a 3-2 victory over Notts County.
This season he has become an important part of the defence that has seen Grimsby rise to 2nd in League 2.
He also made national back page headlines with his infamous elbow against Alan Shearer in the Carling cup 3rd Round tie with Newcastle.

Junior Lewis
The much maligned and booed Junior Lewis left the tigers on the 27th August this year to join League 1 Brentford Town.
He has so far made 10 appearances for the Bees helping them gain top spot in the league.
No doubt he will be hoping to take them up and make a return to the K.C next year.

The Others
Of the rest of the tigers to leave mixed fortunes awaited them.
Danny Allsop left to return back to Australia where he is currently playing for Melbourne Victory in the Australian League one. So far this term he has scored 2 goals in 14 appearances.
Jamie Forrester left the tigers in July 2004 for Bristol Rovers scoring 9 times in 35 appearances for his new club in his first season though 15 of those appearances were as sub.
He has struggled to start this term and has just 8 appearances as a sub to his name.
Dean Keates Left Hull City in February 2004 for Kidderminster Harriers, where he made 8 appearances in his first season scoring 2 goals in the process.
Season 2004/2005 saw Dean make 41 appearances scoring 5 goals and winning the player of the year trophy.
Relegated Kidderminster sold him to Lincoln on a freebie at the start of the current campaign and he is currently a regular first teamer at Sincil Bank having made 20 appearances and scoring 4 goals.
Paul Musslewhite Muzzy was released by City on a free transfer in June 2004 and re-joined his former club Scunthorpe utd, he was an ever present in the clubs promotion winning season of 2004/2005 making 50 appearances for the first team.
This season he has again been the number one choice between the sticks making 23 appearances so far.
A final mention of one of the tigers young talents.
Paul Anderson left in October this year to join Liverpool and has been turning a few heads with his performances. His debut as a liverpool player came in a reserve team defeat to Birmingham City on 22nd Novenber, but he did enough in the game to wet the Kops Appetite.His second game for liverpool was 7 days later where he scored the only goal in the reserves 1-0 win against Sunderland.
Paul has since gone on to play 4 reserve games and netted his second goal for Liverpool in a 3-0 merseyside Senior cup game against Runcorn utd on the 20th December.
I know its early days but the signs are that Paul could have a good career ahead of him and we wish him luck in the future.
