City put their unbeaten away run on the line in South Wales.

Vital Quotes:

After City’s win at Watford

Nigel Pearson: ‘The bottom line is that we’ve got to do it ourselves. It’s up to us to win enough games and take enough points ourselves. Although we do need some help, it will be about what we do.’

Swansea City Team News:

Swansea have no new injury worries after their fine 3-0 win over rivals Norwich City. Brendan Rogers will have the option of bringing in the likes of Tomas Priskin, Craig Beattie and Luke Moore into the starting squad, and he may well choose to do so.

Player to watch: Fabio Borini

The Chelsea loanee terrorized the Norwich back line on Saturday and may very well decide that Ant Gerrard, James Chester and Jack Hobbs should receive more of the same…

Hull City Team News:

City are similar to Swansea in that they too have no new injury concerns after seeing off Watford on Saturday. Brad Guzan has come to the end of his loan spell, so Matt Duke will likely return to the starting eleven. Liam Rosenior appears likely to overcome his shoulder stiffness and should start, James Harper faces a late fitness test.

Player to watch: Corry Evans

The young Man Utd loanee has settled down well since his move early in the year and he is almost certain to sign a permanent deal in the summer. He’s a creative outlet for the Tigers and he should have a decent game.

Match Facts & Stats

The last time we visited South Wales was in the Carling Cup in 2008, when the Swans were victorious, thanks to goals from Pintado and Gomez cancelling out an early strike from Dean Windass. The last league meeting in 2004 was back in the old League 2, at Swansea’s old ground, the Vetch Field. City managed beat the Swans 3-2, thanks to goals from Danny Allsopp, and a Ben Burgess brace.

Of the 65 meetings, Swansea hold the upper hand, 28-23 and 14 draws.

Ref Watch:

The refferee will be RUSSELL BOOTH of Nottinghamshire, his assistants will be A Davies (Hampshire) and A C Newell (Lancashire) and the fourth Official will be A J Nunn (Wiltshire).

Match Prediction:

Swansea need a win to keep pressure on the leaders, and City need a win to keep alive their playoff hopes. However, I fear that of the teams, Swansea might well have too much for City and win 1-0
