£10m Double Deal?

Reports are growing, which seemed to originate from the bastion of truth that is the Daily Star, that Hull are looking to sign Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand and Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano.

A combined fee of close to £10m will bring the pair to the KC Stadium, with the double deal ‘close’ to being completed….

Bertrand spend the second half of last season on loan with Aston Villa but will be allowed to leave Chelsea for £4.5m with the England international said to favour a move to Hull over Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur as he would be virtually assured of regular first-team football.

West Brom had Amalfitano on loan last season and his performance, in an otherwise struggling side, that included some pretty special goals has convinced Steve Bruce that he is worth paying some £5.25m for.

Now that Hull will have European football to contend with next season as well they could do with some extra bodies and these would fit the bill wouldn’t they?
