3 Days From Greatness

Hull City’s players and staff stand on the brink of greatness as the final day of the season edges ever closer.

Phil Brown and his team know that a win over Ipswich Town and defeat for Stoke City will end a 104 year wait for top flight football in the City.

However, City’s task has not been made any easier, having to win at Portman Road, a feat an away team has achieved only once this season when Watford returned with all three points. Add that to our promotion relying on relegation threatened Leicester City winning at the Brittania Stadium and a nervous ninety minutes await.

However, the squad realises that promotion will earn them long term recognition as the team that ended the City’s long wait, and Fraizer Campbell is one of several from the City squad who has fired a waning shot to Stoke City during the week.

The young striker has been an inspired signing by Phil Brown, with the Manchester United youngster netting fifteen times so far this season in a fruitful first league campaign. Although returning to Old Trafford in the Summer, Campbell has made a lasting impression on the club and we hope we will see him in a City shirt again.

Three days remain before the club takes to the field at Portman Road backed on by 2,100 away fans and many more in the home end. Lets hope they fulfil all our dreams!
