Manager Steve Bruce was delighted to see Hull City return to winning ways in today’s game against Queens Park Rangers.

Making the trip to Loftus Road for the game against a fellow side relegated from the Premier League last year, Bruce had called on the side to show a reaction to the Preston North End defeat in the last game, and he got that with a battling performance against Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s boys.

Edging possession, an improved second half performance in the final third saw Hull take the lead through Abel Hernandez, but with four minutes remaining in the game, the hosts levelled, leaving Adama Diomande to open his club account following injury recovery with a stoppage time winner.

With plenty of pre game talk about improving the away results in the second half of the year following recent wobbles, Bruce was obviously pleased to return with the win.
