Myhill produced another outstanding performance but failed to save the Tigers from a 3-1 defeat at promotion chasing Reading on Saturday.

It was the club’s fourth succesive defeat and sent them into the relegation zone.

Myhill though, is confident City will survive in the Championship.

He said: ‘We’ve lost games before, even in the old Third Division so people can say what they want. That doesn’t bother us. We know we’ve got good players and I’m confident that we can survive in this division.’

‘We were only seven points behind Wolves going into the weeken and they are talking about them for the play-offs. Any kind of run an we’re near them.’

‘We’ve got to keep believing in ourselves because we can turn the corner. The spirit is still there and we’ve got another chance to put it right against Southampton.’

‘Everyone in this league is beatable. We just need to knuckle down and work over 90 minutes.. It will be hard, but if we couldn’t play in hard games, we wouldn’t have got promoted twice.’

‘We’ve still got good players and we need to keep gibing our best.’
