Sky Sports have linked Jay Simpson with a summer move to Hull City.
With Nigel Pearson expected to be unveiled in the coming days, City are thought to back their new manager with new acquisitions, with Pearson originally keeping tabs on Simpson for a potential move to Leicester City.
A highly regarded product of Arsenal`s youth system, Simpson has struggled to feature regularly for Arsenal, making only one League Cup appearance. Loans at Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City have benefited the Arsenal winger, who could now leave The Emirates according to his advisor Uben Gray.
As well as City, West Ham, Fulham and newly promoted Blackpool are rumoured to be keeping tabs on Simpson`s situation.
