Hull City are deciding on whether to play a friendly against Crewe Alexandra following promotion to the Premier League.

The clubs had provisionally agreed a date to play a friendly but that may change following Hull’s promotion to the Premier League as the club’s pre-season plans are reconsidered.

So far, Hull will play friendlies against Chesterfield and Oldham Athletic, both away, with the latter being part of David Livermore’s loan agreement with Oldham last season.

A City side will also be expected to compete in the traditional Billy Bly Trophy against local neighbours North Ferriby United, but no details of any home games have been released yet, with foreign opposition desirable for the Tigers support.

Crewe remain hopeful that can play the new Premier League team in July, and details should be released shortly.
