Danny Mills To Join Hull City?

Radio 5 Live have been announcing throughout the day that Manchester City right-back Danny Mills has joined the club on a two month loan deal, although nothing official has been released by the club.

The right-back has fallen out of favor at the City of Manchester Stadium since young defender Micah Richards has made the defensive position his own. With first team opportunities appearing hard to come by, it seems Mills has joined on a short term loan in order to get first team football.

5 Live also said they expected the defender to go straight into the team that faces Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night in front of the SKY cameras.

After Hull’s first victory of the season, achieved by keeping a clean sheet at the Walker’s Stadium, would Parkinson want to change a winning team? With Mills likely to play at right-back, it would be Welsh international Sam Ricketts’ place that comes under threat.

For Wales, and his former club Swansea City, Ricketts played at left-back and Parkinson may switch the player to the other side of the defence in place of Andy Dawson. If Mills can play in the centre of defence, it would be Michael Turner’s place that is most under threat due to the impressive performances from Sam Collins.

Mills’ presence would certainly add some experience and he is the sort of player we may need. He is always one hundred percent committed to the cause, and we need these sort of figures in the team.

Following the signing of Michael Bridges, Danny Mills may become the next ex Leeds United player to join the Tigers rank. We are awaiting confirmation that this deal is official, but Radio 5 Live is a reliable source and it seems very likely that this transfer will go through.

We will keep you updated right here…

I really hope this rumor is true – it would be a terrific signing – don;t you think?

I know he has played in Central defence before, so he may well be signing on loan to cover for Delaney, hence the 2 Months mentioned

Danny Mills to sign tomorrow according to Radio Humberside – looks like a terrific signing in my opinion.

I hope he will go into Central Defence. Not been to upset with the Right and the Left, but there have been a few mistakes down the middle. Turner hasn’t always been convincing. Would be a good move I think, at least on loan.

Great signing – 2 months cover for the injured Delaney. We’ll be in mid table by then!

    It’s official now!

I think this a good signing for the club. A quality player who’ll do at the back, what Ash does in midfield. I know I wouldn’t want to face him tomorrow night against Wednesday.
Mind you, with all the ex-leeds players in the squad we’re looking a bit better than they are at the moment, thanks to the quality of Bridges, Barmby, Livermore and Mills!
