Andy Dawson is set to sign a new contract with The Tigers, taking him into a tenth season at the club.

The veteran left-back joined The Tigers from neighbours Scunthorpe United in 2003 on a free transfer and has since made 276 appearances for the club, scoring 8 goals.

Despite starting the season behind new recruit Joe Dudgeon, Dawson has battled back to become a vital part of the Tigers defence. His role in the back four is not under-estimated, with City having the best defence in the Championship and having not conceded for the past five games.

A new deal could also see Dawson enter City history by securing a fourth promotion while at the club. Dawson has played in all four divisions with the club, and if he signs a new deal; should enjoy a testimonial to mark ten years of service.
