F.A Cup 3rd Round Draw

Hull may fancy themselves to cause an upset against an under-acheiving Aston Villa. The sides last met in the F.A Cup in the ‘Thriller at the Villa’ game in 1999, when Aston Villa were top of the Premiership, and Hull City were 92nd in the League. The game ended three – nil to Villa with Stan Collymore scoring two and Julian Joachim scoring the other.

The teams have met four times in the F.A Cup, with Aston Villa winning all four.

Former Aston Villa academy goalkeeper Boaz Myhill will have a point to prove against his former club. The goalkeeper has been in magnificent form and will be looking to impress against former colleagues.

The tie will be played on the weekend of 7th / 8th Januray, 2006.
