After a successful first season at Hull City, Richard Garcia has earned his first call-up to the Australian National team.
Despite being sidelined through a shoulder injury, the former Colchester United man has been a pivotal part of Phil Brown`s team this season and fully merits his first international call-up into Pim Verbeek`s squad.
Garcia will be part of the Australian squad that plays five times this summer and Hull manager Phil Brown has spoken of his delight for his midfielder, with whom he had made a bet before the start of the season that Garcia would make the international team.
After settling into the team, Garcia has become an integral part of the City set-up and has managed to add goals from midfield, something that Brown has strived for. Although ruled out for today`s game, Garcia could be fit to face Crystal Palace in a week`s time.
Well done on your first international call-up Richard!
