Gossip – Waghorn in, Ghilas out?

Hull City have been linked in today`s Sunderland Echo with a loan move for Martyn Waghorn.

A highly rated striker at the Stadium of Light, Bruce is willing to allow the youngster to gain further experience with a season long loan, but remains unwilling to sell the striker at the present time.

Should Sunderland prove successful in their attempts to sign a new striker, Waghorn is expected to be made available for loan, with the Sunderland Echo naming Hull as the favourites for his signature due to Nigel Pearson`s link with the player while at Leicester City last season.

Waghorn featured 42 times for Nigel Pearson`s Leicester last season, becoming an integral part of a side that finished in the Play-off`s, netting 12 times in the process.

While Waghorn may be an arrival at the KC Stadium, Kamel Ghilas appears increasingly likely to leave the club on loan. Speaking on his official Twitter page, Ghilas revealed he expected to be loaned out in the near future in order to play first-team football, with Turkey emerging as a likely destination for the Algerian striker.
