Hull suffered another disappointing defeat losing two-nil at Rotherham in the Championship on Saturday.
Moses Odubajo’s foul on Kirk Broadfoot gave Rotherham the chance to go ahead just before the half hour and with Lee Frecklington scoring from the spot that’s exactly what they did to go into the break one-up.
This lead was doubled before he hour when Joe Newell fired in via the underside of the crossbar to leave Hull with it all to do, and there wasn’t to be a fightback.
City twice hit the post through Chuba Akpom, once at one-nil, with other chances missed and that proved costly.
