It is rumoured that WBA striker Geoff Horsfield could be coming to the K.C Stadium when the transfer window opens in January.

Rumours have been circulating for a few weeks now,but both managers are denying any reports are true.

It is now alleged that a 500k deal has been struck between the clubs and that Horsfield will be joining us in January.

Baggies manager Bryan Robson has been quoted as saying ‘None of his strikers are going anywhere’. West Brom are due to lose Kanu & Diomansy Kamara to African cup duty in January.

This would leave him with 4 recognised strikers, Kevin Campbell, Geoff Horsfield, Nathan Ellington and Robert Earnshaw (Himself linked with a possible moves to either Birmingham, Charlton or Portsmouth).

Robson was quoted as saying ‘If Kanu keeps playing the way he is, then he is going to be a loss to us in January. He has probably been our best player this season.

‘But that’s when people like Horsfield, Campbell and Earnshaw are so important.

‘I keep reading reports that Earnshaw is not happy and Horsfield is going out on loan because loads of Championship clubs are after him.

‘By the time I get to January, Campbell, Horsfield, Ellington and Earnshaw will be a major part for this club in what we do while Kanu and Kamara are away.

‘None of the strikers will be going anywhere in January.’

If Horsfield does join the tigers it would be a major coup for Taylor, it would also silence the critics who have been saying that the manager is wasting money on unproven lower league players.

Horsfield has played 7 times for West Brom this season scoring 4 goals.

They say there is no smoke without fire so developments should be interesting over the next few weeks. As always
