Reports from Huddersfield today have suggested the League 1 side are to make a move for Hull midfielder John Welsh.
Welsh could be available on either a permanent or loan deal having failed to feature regularly during the three seasons spent in the Coca-Cola Championship since being a part of the transfer deal that saw Paul Anderson move from Hull City to Liverpool.
A horrific leg break sustained during a home match against Preston North End caused the former Liverpool midfielder to lose his place in the City midfielder, and Welsh has never been able to force his way back into contention.
Welsh has featured this pre-season, scoring the third goal during a 4-0 win over Winterton Rangers, but is available should Huddersfield enquire into the midfielder’s availability.
Huddersfield continue to look for midfield options despite already strengthening this area and could make a move for John Welsh over the coming days.

I doubt he is going to feature much so it’s a bonus to get a transfer fee for him.
Is this the same John Welsh who used to play for Liverpool? I always thought he wasn’t a bad player.
Real shame he did not get his chance after coming back from injury
Yeh he played for liverpool. i thought he was a decent player too but he was just unfortunate and it seemed as though we had better players ahead of him. not premiership quality but a stable championship player. He’ll be a great signing for Huddersfield if he gets his form and confidence back.
think this will be best move all around for both partys and seems like they do well this year and push for the tittle.I wish him all the best if he goes never had a good chance to shine.
i dont think we will go for him as we already have 5 central midfielders
only recently has got himself fully fit after another operation….will have to wait and see on this one…………………
Always rated him but never achieved his full potential, Huddersfield would be a good move for him.
