Hull City Expecting Victory

Despite being rooted to the foot of the table, the voters of Vital Hull are always confident in their teams ability, and yet again, fans are confident of a Hull City victory today.

4% of voters reckon that City will come away with a victory. In order to do that however, the performance must be much improved from what we witnessed at Queens Park Rangers where a two nil defeat sent the Tigers back to the foot of the table.

Fortunately for Parkinson, this match is the one match where no encouragement should be needed. With Crystal Palace being today’s visitors, the return of Peter Taylor has been the main talking point. Although Phil Parkinson has been quick to demolish Taylor’s playing squad, there are still many familiar faces from the England Under 21 manager’s reign and they should all want to prove a point this afternoon to their former manager.

As well as Peter Taylor’s return, former City player’s Stuart Green and Leon Cort also return to the KC Stadium for the first time since their departures and both players will be looking to put one over on their former employees.

With what is at stake this afternoon, there is no doubting Peter Taylor’s desire to avoid defeat at what used to be his club. With that in mind, 38% of voters reckon Crystal Palace will come away with all three points by five O’clock.

Following successive victories over Coventry City and Norwich City, Palace have started to climb the table after a period which saw only one point picked up from an available twelve. With Palace in the play-off spots, today’s game will be extremely difficult but City’s players should have no problem in understanding the tactics of our former coach.

That’s where today’s game may be won or lost. How well will City’s players be able to read and recognise the moves and plays of Taylor’s new teams. There are bound to be some similarities and providing they can pick up on these, the three points are there for the taking.

4% of voters believe the fixture will finish with a nil-nil score-line whilst ten percent believe a score draw is on the cards.

Will Hull City fans and travelling Crystal Palace fans please remember that Walton Street Car Park is closed today due to the setting up of Hull Fair.

Well it was a draw, first half was ok, but the second.. well speechless. we were very lucky to get the draw. And the Ref’s, crap again.

So Taylor’s return didn’t do you any favours. Pity!

  • Twti says:

Tigerphil – the ref and both linesmen were crap! One throw in was decided by Fagan when it had gone out by a good foot under the linesmans nose!. He shouldn’t be so honest!
