With Sunday’s game marking the final day of the season, Phil Brown appears set to give a City youngster some first-team action.
City’s youth striker Nicky Featherstone, who has excelled for the juniors and reserves this season is set to be handed a place on the bench during Saturday’s game against Plymouth Argyle.
The striker has yet to make his league debut for the club, although he did come on as a late substitute during the F.A Cup third round draw with Middlesbrough in January.
Featherstone is expected to be handed a place on the substitutes bench, with a cameo appearance expected during the last half hour of the match.
The youngster is expected to have a bright future ahead of him, and this appearance on Sunday may be the start of a successful City career. Next season, the young striker is expected to feature on a more regular basis as a substitute as he continues his development through the ranks of Hull City.
