Hull To Remain 4-5-1

Following two successful away outings that saw the club pick up four points from a possible six, Phil Parkinson must decide what tactics to use at home.

An away win at Southend was followed u with a point at Southampton, but with two home games coming up, will Phil Parkinson revert to a 4-4-2 formation.

The 4-5-1 formation, using Craig Fagan and Stuart Elliott as supportive wingers to the lone striker has worked well over the past two games, as City seem to have found a balance between attack and defence.

However, some fans would view the 4-5-1 formation as too defensive at home, especially when the Tigers still need the points in order to lift themselves out of the relegation zone. Of course, if we get the result then no-one can complain!

We asked you, the readers of Vital Hull, what you thought of this situation and 735r believe that Parkinson should stick with the current formation.

After all, why fix something when it’s not broke. The team finally look like they understand and enjoy playing this system and the results have come in the last two outings. Why change something that seems to be working?

However, 12% believe that the formation is too defensive at home whilst 15% think what all of us do – whatever gets us the victory!

Parkinson has an array of talent at his disposal sat on the bench in the form of Nicky Forster and Michael Bridges, showing that he has the players to change formation if needs be.

Whatever formation he plays, the team need our support as we look to take all three points against Wolves on Saturday!

Please send in your poll suggestions – we are running low and always need your input.

why change what is not broken at the moment…. the players seem to have settled into it.. against southend we were attacking all the time with this… I woul dbe inclined to say go with it and see…. it has worked in the last couple of games.. to be honest not much else has worked previously to any great effect……….

I think it should be given a go personally , it will develop more into a 4-3-3 as the game goes on as well and we always have that chance to tighten it back down to a 4-5-1 if we need to !

I say lets go for it, its working at the moment, we have the players confidence high, 4 points from 6 is a good return away from home, we should play our own game and play to our strengths, not necessarily the opponents weaknesses, our squad is as good as any in this league we should be frightened of no one, lets as has been mention elsewhere make the KC a place that teams fear, we need to fill the stadium saturday and let the boys know we are behind them all the way!
